So, you've finished a nice meal, and want to top it off with some cool delicious icecream...but, you don't want to make that trip to the store...well take out your ice cream maker machine, some simple ingredients, and you're almost ready to enjoy home made ice cream. 

Chances are you already have most of these ingredients in your fridge.

And, with home made icecream, you can control portions, and what goes into your icecream way better than store bought

Home made icecream is pure and contains no fillers, and no additives...why should it?

Your going to want to eat these delectable treats up...who said there would be left overs!

I remember growing up, one of my friends mom made a Georgia specialty...Peach Ice-cream, with real peaches...I still remember how amazing it tasted...I searched for years for her secret recipe...still haven't found it...but in my quest, I came across these  amazing cool and delicious treats! Enjoy.

 

 PEANUT BUTTER Pie!

2 eggs

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup room temperature, Jif or Peter Pan chunky peanut butter--

 1 1/2 cups heavy cream

1 1/2 cups milk

1  1/2 cup of Reeses peanut Butter cups, crumbled

 

Whisk together the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the peanut butter and whisk until smooth.

Mix in the whipping cream and milk. Transfer the mixture to the ice cream maker andprocess according to manufacturer?s instructions.

Chill and complete according to machine directions.

Now, spread 1/2 to 3/4 cups crumbled Reeses cups over the bottom of a pie plate, sprinkle on peanut butter chips or chocolate chips, your preference.

Blend remaining Reeses crumbled peanut butter cups into finished peanut butter icecream.

Spread ice cream/peanut butter cup mixture evenly over tin pie plate, 3/4 full.

Smoothe out...and top with Ready Whip topping from the can, and chocolate sprinkles...or topping of your choice...serves 4-6.

 

 

APPLE Pecan

2 apples, cored, peeled, chopped

2 cups whipping cream

1/2 teaspon cinnamon

1 cup milk

3 egg yolks

3/4 cup sugar

1/4 chopped pecans

2-4 tbsps. chocolate chips (optional)

Steam apples until soft. Puree with 1/4 cup of sugar, 1 cup of cream and cinnamon.

Whisk egg yolks thoroughly.

Beat 1/2 cup of sugar. Heat milk and 1 cup of cream to the point just short of boiling. Stir into egg yolks. Be careful not to coddle your egss.

Mix milk/egg and apple mixtures. Cool. Mix in machine, and complete in machine according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Add pecans when ice cream nearly ready.

Makes soft serve, (depending on your icecream machine's capability) or return to the freezer for thicker icecream consistency.

Top with hot fudge, hot caramel, and chocoate shavings or chocolate chips...Enjoy!
